Lesson plans

Hello everyone!
It’s nice having you back! 
We learned how to craft our lesson plans, teacher Orlando shared some very useful tips that I will share with you in a moment.

First of all we all agreed that PPT is used for grammar and vocabulary classes, whereas PDP is used for listening and reading classes.

Warm up: 
We reviewed some aspects like the important things to keep in mind while warming up. It shout be short, we can start with question time.

In the PRODUCTION:
We use the language, students produce and follow structures. Up to this point we should be CCQing our students. Besides, As teachers, should make sure we use the pair-share-technique in which students first work on their own, then they should work in pairs and last but no least, the class share answers as a whole. The production can or should be in an oral way or written way. 

Teacher Orlando also said that we shouldn’t forget to add controlled and free practices. And controlled should go before free. We can add two controlled ones  and one fee practice, or 1 and 1, 2, and 2, as we consider it more appropriate, but we should always be careful with the time and in including  some imperative parts of a lesson.

Grammar and Vocabulary Demo Classes

Hello dear teacher and classmates!! Welcome to another weekly entry. Time flies and I can´t believe we are already in a new register! This time, let me start with a fantastic record of our last class. We did some demo classes as a team. It was very funny to see all the course wearing black as if we had planned it!😅😂 Teacher Orlando divided us into four different groups, I'll introduce mine in a second. Teaching writing

 Hi there! Welcome back to a new entry on a new topic. This time, we´ll be talking about: writing! 🤩 Our last two classes have been more theoretical, we have had some nice exercises too though.  In our first class, we rehearsed our muscles, drew some tracings, and practiced cursive and print handwriting. It felt weird, to be honest. 😅 I don't remember when I last wrote a complete sentence in cursive style I assume it’s been in years! I remember that coming back from virtuality, my hand even felt stiff! This is my handwriting in cursive and printing styles. 🤭 I am not good with cursive and kind of mix both. 😅 Then, we went a little deeper into what we actually mean by writing skills. Writing involves aspects like handwriting, spelling, punctuation, sentence construction, paragraphing, text cohesion, and register or style. We discussed that maybe for us, as Spanish speakers, we don´t have to struggle that much with handwriting, or at least not as much as learners whose writi...

Demos

  Hello everyone! Welcome once again and to the very last entry of my blog! It’s been a long and amazing trip through different topics. To wrap it up, we’re going to describe Demos! We had presentations these  past two weeks and I have to admit that I had a blast! I enjoyed watching my classmates and friends doing their best and I certainly learned from them. Everyone was so creative and dedicated when it came to preparing their activities. I loved all of them and I’m pretty sure there are quite good future teachers in our classroom!  1. This was the first group. They presented activities to rehearse  listening. To begin with, they passed a listening test. We had to pay  close attention to answer correctly, but to be honest, it was quite easy, because it was meant for basic or intermediate students.
