Hello! Welcome back to my entry! So today, we continue with Intelligences, I still spent my day at Joni and Friends distribution this Thursday 23rd, but I am keeping up with the class! 馃拝馃拋 6. Intrapersonal Intelligence:  is all about self-reflection. People with intrapersonal intelligence are able to understand what they are good at (strengths) and weaknesses. Some important characteristics are intuition, they are independent people, they apply their knowledge to daily activities, they can easily identify their emotions as they are very introspective. Some benefits related to this type of intelligence are that you can better understand yourself and work better using your tools and skills. You have greater compassion. You reflect and evaluate feelings. You develop an ability to try new things. Some of the professions are psychologist, social worker, author, and planner. 7. Multiple Intelligences PPTS round 1-2

Hi everyone! It´s nice to have you back! Today, I couldn´t attend our English Didactics Class because I was interpreting for Joni and Friends,  as part of my social work! , it's been a great experience so far and I have learned a lot! However, I regret a lot not being in the classroom because I know the activities, presentations, and explanations are enriching, so I had some highlights from the class so that not everything is lost.  I did a little research on the Intelligences myself, plus Daniela explain to us what you guys had in the classroom! 馃槉 1. Spatial Intelligence: is the skill to see with your mind and to mentally arrange objects in spaces. this was my group´s presentation on Thursday, I explained benefits such as being capable of doing many everyday activities, using a map, arranging stuff in your trunk, taking good pictures, merging into high-speed traffic, and many more.  we also explained some activities that can be used in the classroom to promote this intelligence,

Multiple Intelligences

Hello there! I´m glad to have you back! Welcome to this week´s entry, we are exploring new grounds this week! Yesterday we started to inquire about Multiple Intelligences. I am the type of person who is always excited about these types of topics. I love everything that has to do with types of personalities, psychological facts, and even trivia like what type of Disney princess are you? That I take just for fun. I love this topic because it reminds us that there is a wide variety of intelligence types, and I am glad that all of them are being considered and that intelligence is not a black-or-white thing anymore. Just as expressed in the readings, Gardner says: “We´re all intelligent in many different ways, multiple Intelligences are not static, you can develop them and expand them.” Something I liked from reading and the way I got it is this: different needs, different skills. That makes all sense, because for instance, for some settlers, spatial intelligence was crucial to navig

Collaborative Aproach

Hi everyone! It is nice to have you back reading my entries! In the last two classes, we started a new register and started talking about the collaborative approach. We said that approach means a focus or an idea to develop a topic. The Collaborative Approach is divided into three: Comunity Language Learning , which reinforces the idea of "I need my tribe to back me up", nothing is prepared but flows, and its purpose is to create connections and boost confidence in a good environment. Task-based learning: the group evolves into a team and small steps lead to big objectives, in this step we consolidate our previous connections in a team. Content-based learning: In this final step the team is promoted and students are able to complete any task based on content. On Thursday, we talked about collaborative activities (like dialogues, discussions, matching, sorting, role plays, etc.) And the best way to illustrate it was by working in pairs or in groups, I really had fun! 馃挮馃槑 F

Recap

Hi everyone! It´s nice to have you back! In our last class, we did a recap on all the methods while we put the theory into practice and presented our topics to the class. My group presented the TPR method, and we made a beautiful poster and came to the front. That reinforced everyone's knowledge and we learned with and from our classmates (Community Language Learning.) We had a great time and I think that was a great way for us to refresh our knowledge for the next activity: a mini-test on the methods. I don't know my score yet but I'm pretty sure I did well! :D To sum up this topic, I have to say that I didn't expect these many methods. teaching is complex and I am glad to know a little more about the process of teaching and meaningful learning. I am happy to know what was unnoticed back in time when my teachers played a song in the background or when they made us walk around in the classroom, everything makes sense!  Here are some pics: This is our beautiful poster on
